My Portfolio
Taché Heritage Site
Tourism and Rentals
The Taché Heritage Site required a website to inform visitors about its museum, programming and location rental opportunities. It also includes a reservation system for those wishing to experience its unique offerings firsthand. At the heart of this historic site stands a beautifully preserved early 20th-century church, a testament to the architectural charm of its era. Surrounding it, visitors can explore picturesque prairie landscapes that capture the region’s natural beauty. Beyond serving visitors, the website is a valuable resource for stakeholders and the public, keeping them informed and engaged with the site’s ongoing preservation and development efforts.
MCSC
Manitoba Construction Sector Council
For this website, two main features were developed—one on the front end and the other on the back end. The front-end feature is a fully-featured Job Board enabling Employers to create accounts and post jobs, with Job Seekers able to apply directly. On the back end, a bespoke user experience was tailored for staff tasked with website updates. I designed a series of forms for them to fill out, with the information populating custom-designed templates. This approach simplifies website updates; staff needn’t worry about design and essentially use an intuitive custom-built page builder to create and update pages effortlessly.
Centre Renaissance
Counselling Service
As the designer and developer, I’m excited to present the Centre Renaissance counselling service website. My goal was to create a light, uplifting ambiance, incorporating aspirational imagery to promote a sense of well-being. Inspired by the logo created by Deschenes Regnier, the colour palette exudes warmth and confidence. The primary call to action is a booking form that is easily accessible via a convenient button at the top right of the page. I also implemented SEO strategies to ensure the website ranks at the top of Google listings for the term “Bilingual counselling service in Winnipeg.”
MISnDIS
Media Literacy Resource for Educators
MISnDIS is another passion project of mine. As misinformation and disinformation become more prevalent on the internet, it is essential that young people have access to information that helps them understand the issue. This is a curated blog that highlights information meant to help people understand what mis and disinformation is. Each linked article has discussion points to help educators explore the topic with their students. Over time, I will keep adding links to help grow the resource.
NeuStar Truck Body & Trailer Mfg.
Manufacturing
Introducing our Neustar Truck Body & Trailer Mfg. website project. My focus was to improve their product line visibility and enhance their web copy and their imagery. We also added appeal to their product line by giving their product a sense of being out in the real world. A custom product customization form is currently in development.
Les ami.e.s du carré civique de Saint-Boniface
Citizen Action Group
Les Ami.e.s du carré civique de Saint-Boniface is a not for profit citizen action group created earlier in 2022. Their aim is to protect the old town hall of Saint-Boniface and the entire civic square. One feature of the website revolves around the logo that I created. It is an overhead representation of the parcel of land. The red circles represent the buildings placed on the property. The dark blue rings represent the sections of land without buildings. The iconography on the town square page represents each of the different buildings and where they are placed on the property.
Micheline Marchildon
Actor and Comedienne
Micheline Marchildon is an actor, TV host, and stand-up comedienne who works and performs across Canada. Her objective with this website was to create an online portfolio to share her work and her story with her followers. For a daytime laugh or an evening giggle, have a look at her stand-up work—understanding a little french will help a little. 🙂
Sarah Lamontagne Photo
Photographer
Sarah Lamontagne Photo was my first client. When I first began to learn web building, I casually told Sarah one day that I could make a website for her and she jumped at the opportunity, wanting one for her start-up photography business. Just recently, we did a website make-over. Have a look!
Aimée Craft
Changemaker
Aimée Craft is an academic, lawyer, artist, and changemaker. Together, we set out to create a website that features her work in three areas of focus; Water, Treaties, and Indigenous Justice. Aimée is dedicated to the protection of water and reminds us that our relationship with it is sacred and a never-ending one. In addition to the breadth of her selected works listed on the website, you can also download her media kit and CV for much more.
Ryszard Hunka
Documentary Filmmaker
Ryszard Hunka was looking for a website to feature his films and photography. With an interest in developing unique design elements, I created the filmstrip that is placed on the right side of each page. Ryszard and I also felt that the darker palette gave a more intimate feeling to the web pages—like being in a movie theatre.
